Conducting New Age Music
Just like an orchestra conductor standing on a podium, one New Age artist first held his raised baton in hand, and began to cue the first downbeat gesture for his debut album. What emerged after the final cutoff gesture was made, led to an upbeat direction for his first album’s achievements, and proclaimed admiration for this relatively new artist.
David Wahler is the musician orchestrating Antiquus in a like manner, where his time signature expertly directed a unique phrasing in tempo, dynamics, and articulation, leading to welcoming salutations of praise during the final reception at the end of his first orchestration.
Antiquus is a greatly applauded 2009 album surprising many by the paramount success granted to such a relative newcomer in the New Age music industry. The consistent airplay and high ranking in Zone Music Reporters charts is widely recognized, along with pending nominations for 2009 in 4 categories, yet to be decided. Likewise you will find Antiquus is held in high regard with our own NewAgeMusic.nu Best Albums of 2009 Awards, so these merits do speak quite clearly.
Music itself is not new to David since he began playing piano by ear at age 7, then formal music studies in college academics before directing several theater directing productions, performing with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra & New American Theatre, while also teaching music appreciation to disadvantaged and handicapped children.
David again steps onto the conductor’s podium for a second time. With all eyes watching, and with several decisive taps of the hand baton, he confidently cues in his current 2010 release A Star Dances, in an encore performance notably holding great expectations.
Composed, performed, and arranged solely by David Wahler, this album represents a heartfelt narration surrounding his family circle past and present, where resolution of personal life challenges are reflected as a unique source of inspiration for his music’s identity, lovingly embraced by his close family heritage.
A Star Danced is New Age, Contemporary, Electronic, Ambient, Neo Classical, and Orchestration, nicely displayed by his directing hands, where it becomes apparent this second release sharply manifests a sweeping one and two and timing, in relation to the precision delivery of his already admired discography.
The song Quest is the Epic alpha and omega heralding in 14 classics of A Star Danced, and perhaps a fine talking point of those like myself giving their own conclusions about his second release. To me, this sensational wonder is a revelation to behold, given the heavenly virtuoso trumpet intonation with pronounced percussion taps unveiling moderate rhythms while keyboard and tenor vocals gently mesmerize. Having these bold dynamics and a contrasting sheer ambience of lightly drawn out vibrato notes, it could be telling of a more calming and peaceful resolution made during some of our most challenging moments.
The atmosphere in the Title Song by soft soprano and tenor vocals echo nicely behind droplet-like keystrokes and percussion rhythms blending into one relaxing starlit entity. The Seeds of Time are generously sown by guitar soloist Brent Gunter, where his evolving impressions are backed by moderate keyboards and celestial choir.
Come Gentle Night has a light sway led by beautiful keyboard bell tones similar to Peaseblossom & Reverie. Sigh Away Sunday & Vespera are new images holding a conforming poise from the well conducted Antiquus album, giving fresh ambient patterns to the ensemble of songs.
Yvonne is a heartfelt rendition where harp and piano melody embrace to portray a most positive affirmation, and where keys changes bravely touch on an optimistic melodic tone.
It is in this song where piano, strings, and harp join in a tribute to a special person, and where the significance of someone very dear to David is personified.
Missing You is first composed in singular piano notes where a solemn melody gives a peaceful and serene placement of solitude in the earliest moments while nicely responding with a graceful tribute. Piano notes resolve in a most dignified phasing, giving rise by a reverent conclusion, where ordained notes of respect and solidarity become intertwined in the loving arms of melancholy.
Quest ( Reprise ) makes a return odyssey to the dynamic opening impressions, becoming the concluding exodus to again reveal the bold aesthetic testimonial of David’s second album. Devoted to his unique signature which retains your interest and imagination from the first cue to the final cutoff note, I do expect honorable recognition will be given to David Wahler & A Star Danced, pending this album’s overall final reception.

Eternus Conscientia by Harlan Mark Vale
I think that some of the most interesting new age music is to be found in the crossing point between ambient and soundscapes, in the vast borderland referred to as space music. This music is without a doubt the most artistic music in our genre, and not even the most serious music critic can label it as “easy listening”. One such album is Harlan Mark Vale’s Eternus Conscientia. It is space music of the most distant form, with never ending soundscapes and lush ambient melodies.
When talking about space music one cannot help thinking about the sound of analogue synths of the 70s and 80s, masterly done by Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis.
This is not such an album. Eternus Conscientia rather has the high pitched glass/ice sound of modern VST synths – which is also nice, but more sterile (but so is space, one can argue). Like Vale’s previous albums, this one is also heavily improvised.
In this setting improvisation is a very nice effect, making it more alive, in a contrast to most sequenced space music albums that have the precision of modern computers.
The album has six tracks with beautiful, otherworldly sounding names – like Ingressus Counstituo Prodigium and Valens Laetor; unique titles for sure. There are no real melodies here, but plenty of melodic segments that come and go. The key word here is atmosphere. Most of the tracks have a pleasant, warm sound – while other are more icy. My favorite track is Appareo Ex Informis, which has that larger-than-life feel of Vangelis’ music.
The only thing that is missing, is that you don’t get a feel of just how great a pianist and keyboardist mr. Vale is (like you get on his piano albums). But the arrangement is tasteful and professional in all respects. The sound quality is, as expected, very good.
Eternus Conscientia is a must-have album for the space music enthusiast – or anyone who is tired of waiting for space tourism. This is your ticket while here on Earth! Eternus Conscientia is as beautiful as it is vast, and offers almost endless replay possibilities.

Musical Oases
The phrase Music can take you places might sound like cliché, but you will see the truth in it after listening to Paul Heinerman’s brand new album Oases – which is being released today, September 25! This album will take you on an unforgettable musical journey to Ireland, Greece, North America, India, China and Native America. It is hands down ethnic fusion at its very best, played with integrity and force – and, in the process, perfectly blending modernity in all its shades, illustrating the melting pot of East and West.
Oases is Paul Heinerman’s third album on the Prudence label. His fans have been waiting seven years for the follow up to Private Sun (2001). Previously his style has been close to the good ol’ sound of analogue synths (sample the gorgeous Back to the Highlands from Private Sun to see what I mean, he is a keyboardist after all), while this time around he presents a modern, sequenced sound. Oases shows that Heinerman masters both disciplines, which bodes good for future albums from this fine Dutch artist.
Rarely a new release contains a song that’s already a modern classic – but this is the case with Oases! Paul Heinerman released the single Chimengu almost two years ago (much like the early release of Enigma’s Hello and Welcome from A Posteriori), and the song has been played extensively on web radio stations ever since – and the response has been unanimously positive. With this song fans got an early glimpse into what now has become Oases.
The album contains 11 tracks, all between 4 and 5,30 minutes. It starts with the song Porta Mundes, which is as beautiful as it is eerie; the pads sound both divine and foreboding while the rhythm is almost too slow to imitate a healthy heartbeat. The female, angelic voice synth enhances the effect; it is a slow, yet very dramatic opening. The Indian (?) samples fit in perfectly.
And speaking of samples; ethnic fusion is nothing without samples (the most famous examples are of course Deep Forest’s massive hit Sweet Lullaby and Enigma’s MCMXC a.D.). On the cover of Oases Heinerman tells us the names of the sample collections used, which I find to be something all artists should do – as long as they themselves have not been in the field (or studio) and recorded the samples. But another thing I have to mention about the samples is the mixing of Western (Gregorian) and Eastern (Indian and Chinese) samples. Someone might object to this, but I find it to be an interesting and quite different cultural mix.
Oases is perfectly blending modernity in all its shades, illustrating the melting pot of East and West.
The track Homines Regnum is another winner. The strings sound like Vangelis, and the Gregorian AND Indian samples are just right for this soundscape. The rhythm is catchy and the mixing is nothing but masterful. Again; this is ethnic fusion at its best.
The musical voyage continues to Africa (track 4), China (track 5), Japan (track 6) and all the way up to India (track 7). The three last tracks, Across the Ocean, Indian Sunrise and Oasis, are without samples, and more like Heinerman’s previous two albums – with nice keyboard leads and bright piano melodies. Old fans will feel right at home! Still, after 10 simply incredible tracks, Heinerman does not deliver a disappointing title & ending track. The sax on Oasis reminds me of the sax on Mike Oldfield’s Misty (from Tr3s Lunas). It is a meditative and dreamy song that makes a perfect ending to the album.
All in all Oases is a fantastic album. It is a true find, like an oasis in a desert. Believe me; your dehydrated soul will be refreshed. My hope now is that it will not be 7 years till next time a Heinerman album is released. That would be a desert walk with no oases in sight.

Get ready for take off
I am often amazed of how songs I have heard before sound different when they are included in a compilation. On the original album the song was perhaps a slow interlude between two fast and rhythmic songs, while on the compilation it can be one of many chilled songs.
An example of this is the compilation In-Flight Relax by Mars Lasar. For instance, on the original album (Yosemite, Valley Of The Giants, 2006) the song Wilderness Trail was the peaceful part between two dramatic songs (Merced River and Yosemite Valley) – while on In-Flight Relax it is the album’s intro and the beginning of a beautiful and relaxing journey.
So compilations definitely give new perspectives to songs. Put In-Flight Relax on, and you are all set for take off!
This compilation contains songs from all parts of Mars Lasar’s long artist career, from the very beginning (the wonderful Many Miles from his first album, Olympus, released in 1992) to the latest. But when listening to In-Flight Relax I try, as noted above, not to think of the song’s track number on the original album – but as a part of the compilation with the “relaxing flight” theme. And wow, we are in for a treat here – it is way more calming than pills or the classical music you are likely to find in the in-flight relaxation channel (as a frequent flyer I must add that some (but far from all) airlines have new age music in their in flight radio program).
Put In-Flight Relax on, and you are all set for take off!
My favorite song on the album, which also is a top performing song on New Age Stars Radio, is Awakenings. A more relaxing and positive song is hard to find. When listening to the song it is like flying on a cloudless, sunny day. And the best part is the awesome track progression; at about 3 minutes it speeds up and takes you even higher. Another very impressive song is At the end of the day.
I must mention that even though some of these songs were released in the early 1990s, they still sound fresh and updated. They are a statement of Mars Lasar’s instrumental music talent – and that they have a life of their own outside the original recording.
From now on In-Flight Relax is a permanent part of my travel gear, just as sure as my passport. After all, what is a mere $ 8.99 in your total travel budget?

Santuary of Perception
Composing musician Paul Sills of the United Kingdom, has a great New Age album dealing with the relevance of our perception as it relates to sound.
Astral Doorways was Paul’s creative first endeavor that explores the spiritual and surreal side of music, where illusion plays a definitive role to permit passage beyond this proverbial threshold, arriving at a deeper realm in how we experience music.
His second album Walking Across Heaven likewise explores our inner imagery in a meaningful way, creating a beautiful sanctuary of sound that arrives at a beautiful music experience. Both albums reflect a celestial or spiritual presence about them, easily fulfilling any dictionary definition of perception as it relates to music.
Astral Doorways on the MG Music label is a truly powerful album, symbolic of the outer boundaries in synthesized music and simply a must have release for those who love a memorable trek into the territory of unfamiliar sounds. There is no doubt that his fans own both albums, since I couldn’t imagine anyone possessing just one album without the second nearby within easy reach.
Perception can be defined as, the conscious neurological process for interpreting sensory stimuli that is derived from intuition or present memory to help resolve or comprehend the present concept in a meaningful way.
The 12 tracks on Astral Doorways is the metaphorical portal where crossing the threshold of consciousness is achieved through his unique brand of orchestration. This melodic transformation is portrayed by an atmospheric blend of piano, flute, guitar, and choral vocals, where piano key strokes play a primary role in the melody decision making, and choral vocals point out the given steps for safe passage while discovering what lies beyond the twilight zone in celestial music.
Like an optical illusion, the music of Paul Sills creates an ever changing phenomenon of sound where what you hear, may be contrary to what your present understanding is of what lies beyond the other side, by skillful layering of synthesized music.
The song Pathway is a monumental first step, starting out with a rhythmic guitar pattern that charts the schematics and steady pace for your journey. The gentle piano melody then starts a graceful stride, reaching a point of calm that resemble secure steps taken along the winding path.
Aglow is a pivotal song where key changes from ivory to ebony are the principal rule, changing mood and thought one keystroke at a time. Gently flowing and deep, peaceful transformation begins to take place during moments of lower octave piano melody, while string orchestra offers an insightful glimpse into the unknown territory ahead.
Angelic Grace is a moving celestial song that gently rises above in tonal qualities. The piano melody is gently released from an earthly grasp, gently floating weightless towards the heavens above. Synthesized orchestration then gives rise to rhythmic flow as strings formulate their own equation in sound, converting what you have just heard into a meaningful understanding upon your arrival into this sanctuary of sound.
An Interview with Paul Sills is just around the corner. Perhaps he will explain how his personal trademark sound with a powerful yet gentle approach leaves such a monumental impression on everyone.

Something of Value
Many artist from all genres can sometimes resemble a particular tone or feel that sounds like another artist, which can be evident from the very beginning while listening to their music. This is not the case with composing artist David Wahler. The New Age Antiquus album, officially released June 1 2009, has some personal trademark qualities not heard in projects from musicians established before him.
Beginning music as a young adult, then to formal music studies in college, David moved to the theater, directing several productions while performing with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra, and New American Theatre. This album has attracted attention in the Netherlands in particular and is featured on New Age Soundscapes with Music Choice premium services. David also has a sense of giving, devoting himself and his time teaching music to handicap and disadvantaged children, in a worthwhile cause he found personally rewarding, and that I would also like to recognize about him publicly.
The Antiquus album debut has been described as New Age Ambient, Neo Classical, and Electronic, but let’s also add Orchestra and Chill Out, since they can also be used as reference adjectives to describe his material. David points out that this album explores our common heritage through classical compositions, and that each of the 10 songs makes reference to an ancient myth, sacred love, or eternal truth that everyone shares.
Provoking many emotions, the mood is thoughtful and ever changing by the insertion of a light and airy feel at times, that then shift towards deep and mysterious surroundings as the measure bar in the sheet music moves into the next measure of the page.
This album does explore our ancient past to unveil our present in an unfamiliar way by incorporating a layering and mixing of piano, strings, flute, violin, and percussion in a mysterious, yet classical way. Choral vocals reinforce his approach in style, echoing a graceful and poetic feel, while also shining bright by a deep, thought provoking mannerism that seems to stand out from the very beginning.
With this goal in mind, David has managed to produce a debut album that appears to stand alone in personal style and form, creating a model as an artisan would create a grand sculpture adorned with touches of gold, and crafted entirely out of sound.
David points out that this album explores our common heritage through classical compositions, and that each of the 10 songs makes reference to an ancient myth, sacred love, or eternal truth that everyone shares.
The mood is indeed very dreamlike and relaxing by a mod tempo rhythm that offers a positive connection by retaining your interest and imagination throughout the entire album. Shifting tempo and key changes are what I believe give this album an effective transition in thought and feeling, linking the valuable bond between our very distant past and our ever changing future.

Virtual Album, Real Sleep

When it comes to releasing and focusing on music to fall asleep to, I dare to say that no other label is better than RealMusic. They have continued to expand their already excellent catalogue of deep relaxation/sleep music.
The latest addition is the web only compilation Go To Sleep. Here is a presentation:
Contrary to a view that the way to become relaxed and fall asleep is to empty the brain of all thought, becoming engaged with something specific is how we truly manage to stop the brain’s constant chatter; thus there is wisdom in the old adage of counting sheep, for that requires ongoing but relatively mindless attention. Much easier and more pleasurable than counting sheep, and undoubtedly more effective, is listening to this soothing and comforting music.
Here is the cover:

The collection contains some of our favorite tracks by Mike Howe, Mars Lasar, Bernward Koch and 2002. It is the best music to count sheep to

Musical Logic
Xavier Boscher is a very productive musician. He was born in 1979, and has so far managed to release 14 albums/compilations. But believe me, for this musician it is never about quantity. When listening to Xavier Boscher’s music you’ll notice the quality production and his attention to details.
Hydrologic is the name of his most recent album. It is a collection of laid back songs that simply crawls under your skin and relaxes your soul.
In a genre where the piano it the most frequent instrument, a fresh guitar lead is always welcome. One could perhaps compare Xavier Boscher’s music to Pink Floyd’s more ambient segments, where the analogue synths intertwine with gorgeous guitars, but a better comparison is with art rock like Yes or Tangerine Dream. The main ingredients are a foundation of larger-than-life synths and steely guitars on top. It is as beautiful as it is relaxing.
Hydrologic starts with the track Serenity. Within 15 seconds the listener is introduced to Xavier Boscher’s powerful guitar, which adds colors to every song on the album. The thing I like the best is the way the atmosphere changes from track to track; some are positive while other are darker and more complex (like the long closing track, Mind Therapy, which really has is therapeutic qualities).
Hydrologic is, apart from the general heaviness of the synth pads, quite minimalistic in style. I am sure that rock fans who normally don’t like new age music will enjoy Hydrologic. In many ways it is prog rock meets chill out and new age; it is as good in the background as it is for active listening. The strong guitar makes it interesting, and the variation in sound gives it almost endless replay possibilities. And – best of all – it has a quite liberating no-nonsense approach to dreamy music; let’s call it guitarlogic.
It is a collection of laid back songs that simply crawls under your skin and relaxes your soul.

Elements of a Dream
Green Sun is a music project by Michael Hefetz. He was born in 1978 in Belarus, but he now resides in Israel. Like so many artists of his generation, his first experience with music creation was through personal computers, inspired of Jean Michel Jarre and similar artists. Later he has also learned to play piano and guitar, and started composing and releasing music.
Michael Hefetz’ music became quite popular on the old mp3.com, just like artists such as Ametyhstium and Jorge Grundman. Many mp3.com artists have since embarked on successful careers. I am sure Dream Elements will establish Green Sun as a popular artist too – the album for sure has a dream-like potential.
The first you will notice while listening to Dream Elements is how gentle and peaceful it is – even the rhythm is like raindrops. Still there is a noticeable force, a distinct artistic drive, behind the arrangement. The first songs In the Beginning, Andromeda and Distant Star are like stepping into a dream sphere. So yes, it is a very promising start indeed.
The synth arrangement is tasteful, with delicate layers of pads and strings.
Green Sun is sequenced music with attention to details. The synth arrangement is tasteful, with delicate layers of pads and strings. As the album progresses there are songs that are less dreamy and have a more intricate melodies. It is obvious that Enigma is an important influence (especially in the use of piano leads), and some of the synths have an analogue sound much like Tangerine Dream. The sound design is of high quality, pure and simple.
One should perhaps think that a young artist like Michael Hefetz would create music with a little power and bravado. My response to this is that the color green has many shades; under the Green Sun it is morning still. By noon the guitars are blazing for sure!
You can sample the album on CDBaby. The album is published by AMAdea Records.
Experience the Paradise
A tropical island is for many the very idea of a paradise on earth. It is a dream about white sandy beaches, clear blue water, palm trees and endless holidays. And if you add a dolphin or two, the image of paradise is complete.
Based on this it is easy to understand why tropical islands also are a frequent theme in new age music. Many of the genre’s most popular artists have created albums with this theme (Medwyn Goodall, David Arkenstone and Deuter to name a few). It is almost like a new age music sub genre. The Nexion Project also has released an album with this theme, which now is available as a digital download for the first time. It is entitled The Isle of Freedom. Here The Nexion Project is as good as any of the before mentioned artists; it might even take the island theme to the next level.
The mastermind behind The Nexion Project is Hungarian Torok Zoltan. There currently are 16 albums released under the The Nexion Project name (see the discography here). Zoltan’s style is somewhere between chill out and new age; it has the classy lounge style of DJ Claude Challe’s Buddha Bar series and the deep, intense emotions of Michael Cretu’s Enigma. It is really like a bridge between two different genres. I must also mention that every album and every song have a sound design that is nothing but impressive; there is this attention to details that you just have to experience yourself.
The Isle of Freedom starts slowly. It is the dawn of the album, and you can almost see how the sun is slowly rising over the tropical paradise, and the day’s first sunlight is glittering in the ocean. Track two, The Hills over the Town, is like an instant classic in the island theme genre. It has a very satisfying build up, a catchy piano melody, strings and great guitar solo conclusion. Marvelous!
From here on you are taken on an expedition around the dream island. You get to see the Flowers (track three), Morning Forest (track five) and enjoy the Dusk – End Sequence (track ten). There is also an Enigma reference in the titles: Towards the Towers of Wisdom (track six). It is the Gravity Of Love lyrics: The path of excess leads to the tower of Wisdom. All Enigma fans will love this Nexion Project track, with its great sample use and dramatic, highly melodic segments.
The Hills over the Town is like an instant classic in the island theme genre. It has a very satisfying build up, a catchy piano melody, strings and great guitar solo conclusion. Marvelous!
Is it possible to make something that already is perfect, like the dream of a tropical island, even better? Yes, the Nexion Project’s The Isle of Freedom is a proof of this. It takes the island theme to the next level, creating a dream sphere that is both relaxing and energizing at the same time.
It is everything and more, just like paradise itself.

All that binds us
All that binds us is the name of Brazilian keyboardist/composer Corciolli’s first solo album, released in 1993 on his own record company Azul Music. The trademark of Corciolli’s music is gentle piano melodies backed by synths with a wonderful, analogue sound. The album All that binds us is in every respect a relaxing album, that takes you away to a dream world far away. Close your eyes, and you will feel connected to the thing that binds us all…
Still, there is much more to this album than relaxation. You’ll find some incredible songs here, that are simply created for the replay button. The song Far, track four, grips you from the first moment and takes you on a fast and enjoyable ride. It is a hit on New Age Music Stars too, so we know for a fact that it is a great song. The analogue sound reminds me of Tangerine Dream, and that is not a bad statement.
All that binds us is a great introduction to Corciolli’s impressive discography. You can sample it on CDBaby. If you enjoy All that binds us (and I bet you will), you might want to check out other albums, like his new The Astral City (2009).
Relative Time and Space
Salva Moreno is the composing musician behind the notably mysterious and out of this world music of Psicodreamics. His New Age music projects are best described as Ambient, Chill Out, Neo Classic and Gothic to name a few. My review of his most recent Fantasynth Album hopefully gave you an introduction of what this artist from the beautiful city of Valencia Spain is capable of creating.
The Ambiethernum Album, on his own Witches on the Radiowaves label, is a thought provoking score strategically designed to place the listener in a picturesque state of mind.
Psicodreamics has achieved a dramatic ambient theme in the 12 tracks intended to arouse the imagination, giving the listener a chance to sit back, close their eyes, then drift along with the music to any imaginary realm they choose to fathom.
One could even conceive a celestial theme encounter by picturing a NASA Space Shuttle Voyage to the $ 1.5 Billion Hubble Space Telescope 360 miles / 575 kilometers away, presently undergoing enhancement. Please use caution upon your arrival to Hubble, since one complete orbit circling the globe every 97 minutes, equals a speed of 17,000 mph / 28,000 kph. Those brave enough for an unsurpassed expedition may venture an astounding 93 Billion Light Years towards the outer observable edge of our universe.
a thought provoking score strategically designed to place the listener in a picturesque state of mind.
The Ambiethernum Album does give you this break through opportunity in imagination by the surreal spatial sound effects, exploring with a point of calm and composure in your virtual musical travel through the galaxy without ever losing your equilibrium.
The ambient aspects of earlier projects are also present by abundant chill out that permit an emotion to be felt. Guided mostly by the deep, dark extended note overtones, keyboard compositions, and synthesized presence of woodwind, string, and abundance of unique percussion effects which are strongly emphasized. The timely appearance of a Symphonic and Orchestra presence adds to the depth and dimension that is light and airy at one moment, only to reappear as a dark and heavier tones in the next phase, increasing the overall intensity.
Natural Animal Effects make their voices known from time to time, adding to character involvement during this make believe encounter. Another thought in utilizing this deep and mysterious music could be as a documentary or soundtrack background score for science fiction, mystery, or even horror themed movies, since the atmospheric content would enhance practically every movie moment in those genres.
Ambiethernum Track 10 in particular makes a theatrical eerie presence known quite dramatically, and could easily be pictured as an excellent horror movie score, if used in that context.
Salva has agreed to an Artist Interview and judging by our recent discussions, this interview promises to give everyone a chance to better understand his point of view, and why he has chosen multi dimensional ambient instrumentals as a means to express himself. I am certain he is well prepared to answer your questions related to those close encounters involving relative time and space.

Silent Lullaby
Mark Mendieta of Transcend with Time (TwT) has sent us a wonderful 30 second long sample (Click here to download) of the song Silent Lullaby which will be on his upcoming album. As on previous TwT albums, it is all about the atmosphere. The piano, the synth pads and the gentle orchestral arrangement create a soundscape that is both positive and dark at the same time. It is a very promising sample of the coming album.
We TwT fans have a lot to look forward to!
Heaven Sent

Paul’s album containing 8 songs is consistently powerful throughout, offering a synthesized atmosphere in which piano, flute, acoustic guitar, and distant choral vocals rise to transform each song into a hymn like quality. My noteworthy favorites are: Track 2 Footsteps in the Clouds, which begins with a piano sequence upon combining orchestral movements, glide into a heavenly anthem. Track 6 Walking Towards Heaven, has a graceful melody which will raise your spirit throughout the entire song. Track 7 Hall of Voices, is full of distant choral background harmony in which one can almost imagine being lifted upward by angels into the final heavenly destination.
The accompanying album cover is also very appropriate in describing what awaits the listener, having a deep blue cloud filled background and the bold Taijitu symbol or more widely recognized in modern times as the Yin & Yang symbol. The ancient symbolic character Taijitu was introduced in China during the Ming Period around (430 A. D.) by author Lai Zhide and has remained a constant in being adopted worldwide by many different cultures and philosophies throughout the centuries. When translated, Taijitu can be defined as The diagram of the supreme ultimate power. This accurately describes the latest contribution by Paul Sills and I for one, thank him for the latest creation, having truly enjoyed the experience.Walking Across Heaven is a collectors edition for those seeking a spiritual journey while still residing here on this Earth, but don’t bother packing friends since luggage will not be a requirement.
