It became the homepage of my browser once I found this page.
You did an outstanding job! No one can write a review about new age music as good as you do.
Keep it up!

Hi,
Your site is so nice and so good. I found everything I like. Thanks a lot for sharing and congratulations.
Patroux from France (Musician - Ambient and Newage) )
Hi. My name is Mark Hill. I was Program Director of KLRS-FM("Colors 99-One"),
a commercial New Age radio station based in Santa Cruz, California (with a translator serving San Jose). We went on the air in 1986,six days after KTWV ("The Wave") debuted in Los Angeles. Many credit KLRS with being the first real New Age commercial radio station in the United States.
My time as Program Director at "Colors"
was magical to me. Within one year,
KLRS was Arbitron rated # 1 with men in the 25-54 age demographic and # 1 with men and women in the 25-34 age demo in the Monterey-Salinas-Santa Cruz radio market.
In addition, with our 25 watt translator sitting in a refrigerator atop a mountain overlooking San Jose, (which really only
allowed listeners to hear us when their
receiver was stationary), we were the
# 5 station in the 7 to midnight daypart
at night. The top 4 stations were all
out of San Francisco.
After 2 1/2 years, the bean counters
who owned the station changed the format
and eventually sold the station to Viacom.
They simply did not know how to sell
a "boutique" format.
I have fond memories of those years.
I met so many artists, had dinner with Enya,
hung out with Andreas Vollenweider
and John Tesh and thrilled at actually being
able to play Tangerine Dream and Kitaro
on-the-air. When it all ended, I was
devastated.
I have continued to make my career
programming radio stations. Today, New Age
music is the most listened to music format online. I cannot help but wonder if it may be time to revisit the possibility of putting a New Age station back on the commercial airwaves. Could it be viable
and (most imporantly to investors)
profitable? I think it could. Two years
after KLRS changed format, I found myself
programming a Classical Radio station,
KBOQ-FM in Monterey, California. In two
successive Arbitron rating periods, we were
number one in the 24-54 demographic in the market. I cannot help but think if the same
promotion and marketing techiniques that I
utilized there were applied today,
could a New Age station be commercially
successful? I believe it could be.
If anyone reading this knows of a company
that might want to make a go of it, either here or in Canada, or even elsewhere, please contact me by blogging here.
I would love to hear from you.

Hallo! My name is Rui Serodio, I'm a portuguese pianist and composer with a few records published here in Portugal. I sent one of them to BT Fasmer and he was very kind writing an interesting review. Many years into my career I discovered my vocation for spiritual music. I focused all my activity of interpreter and composer in the creation of sound atmospheres that allow the listener the right frame of mind to interior improvement. This is done through piano improvisation on recited poetry or through the construction of soundtracks.
I hope this will be the beginning of a nice meeting point for us, New Age composers of the whole world.
Greetings from Portugal!
Rui

He has also added my music to his radio station. If you wish to purchase my CD/downloads please go to www.tarniusmusic.com/transcendwithtime Well, I hope you enjoy my music.
